DRAFT PROPOSALSThis is a featured page

Every member of the World Cyber Cafe Design Team is encouraged to formulate specific recommendations to be adopted. Keep each proposal short and to the point and if you need more space, hypelink to a separate page. Members are free to edit and comment on any proposal and to propose modifications and amendments. The proposer should keep backup copies as the text grows. After 30 days or so, the proposer can call for a vote. Each member can vote or not and give explainations for such vote. Amendments should be listed on the DRAFT PROPOSAL page and voted upon at the same time as the major proposition is voted upon. Majority rule is 51% of the active members (posts at least once a month). Are these rules OK? Chime in.

DRAFT NO. 1. Jim says: Move we accept Meeting Wizard as the platform for maintaining names and email addresses, scheduling events and as the main email client for group level emails.
Comments: It's free, simple, easy to use, reliable and servers the need for an address list. The ability to import addresses from a wide range of different formats is impressive. I'm voting Yes. See VOTING.

DRAFT 2. Jim says: Move we adopt Caucus as the main software conferencing platform for Virtual Cafes with the Whiteboard add-on, that we recommend to The World Cafe that it fund the "Basic" host fee of $200 for 50 seats and $400 for Basic support service.
Jim removed this proposal on 8/1/08 in favor of the proposition in Draft 3 which is a motion to adopt iLink for Meeting as our main software platform.

DRAFT 3. Jim says: Move we adopt iLink for Meetings, with one nominally "Named User" as named administrator for $129/month on a 12 month cotract (disounted from $199/mo). See notes in RESEARCH and in EVALUATION MATRIX. VOTING ends on August 19, 2008.
